Multiplication Snake - Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026

The short version

Multiplication Snake is a game for practising the times table. It is made for children, and it is built to hold as little about them as it possibly can. The game itself collects nothing and sends nothing: everything it remembers stays on the device. The one exception is the advertising banner at the top of the screen, which is described below.

What We Collect: Nothing

The app does not ask for a name, an e-mail address, an account, or any other personal information. There is no registration and no sign-in. We do not receive anything about you or your child.

What the App Stores on Your Device

So the game can remember where you left off, it saves the following in the app's own private storage on the device:

  • Which exercise you last chose (for example "the 7 times table")
  • Whether sound and vibration are switched on
  • The best score for each exercise
  • How many answers were right and wrong, per exercise and per multiplication fact

This information never leaves the device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can erase all of it at any time in Settings → Clear progress, or by uninstalling the app.

Advertising

The app shows one banner advertisement at the top of the screen, supplied by Google AdMob. This is the only part of the app that uses the internet.

Because the app is directed at children, the ads are configured as follows and cannot be configured otherwise from inside the app:

  • Ads are not personalised. Google is instructed to treat every request as child-directed, so no advertising profile is built and the device's advertising identifier is not used to target ads.
  • Ad content is rated for everyone (the "G" rating), the strictest setting Google offers.

To deliver and measure an ad, Google receives technical information - the IP address (which gives an approximate location, usually no finer than a city), the device type and operating system version, and whether an ad was shown or tapped. Google uses this to serve the advertisement, to count it, and to detect fraud and abuse. We never see this data, and it is not combined with anything the game stores on the device.

How Google handles data from apps that use its services is described in the Google partner sites notice and the Google Privacy Policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from Google's certified consent platform may appear before the first advertisement. Your answer is remembered on the device.

The game works without a connection. If there is no internet, no advertisement loads and the strip at the top simply stays empty; nothing else changes.

Permissions

The app itself requests two Android permissions:

  • VIBRATE, so the phone can give a short buzz when an answer is right or wrong. It can be switched off in the app's settings.
  • INTERNET, used only to load the banner described above.

Google's advertising library adds a few technical ones of its own, such as checking whether the device is online. The app does not request storage, location, camera, microphone or contacts, and it does not carry the advertising-identifier permission: that one is deliberately removed, because an app for children should not be transmitting an advertising id.

Children

This app is intended for children and follows Google Play's Families policy. Ads are non-personalised and rated for everyone, as described above; there are no purchases, no way to communicate with anyone through the app, and no links out of it other than the advertisement itself. Nothing the game records about a child's answers is ever transmitted.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
